Why Choose Us For Your Pelvic Health Care

  1. You Deserve to be Listened to

Unfortunately in our medical system it’s common to spend 10 minutes or less with a Doctor. However, here at Pelvic Roots, you will spend 60+ minutes with your therapist and have the time to share your story, concerns, goals and be heard at each appointment.

  2. Care Under a Doctor of Physical Therapy

We believe Pelvic Floor Therapy should consist of hour-long, individualized treatments with 1:1 care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. No shuffling off to a therapy aide at our clinic or working with multiple providers. You will see the same therapist each time who will help guide you to reach your goals.

  3. Discover the “Why” for Your Symptoms and Find Lasting Relief

Our Physical Therapists take a whole-body approach to healing in order to help you find the root cause of your symptoms and find lasting relief. We strive for complete symptom resolution, not just medicore relief, and provide you with the tools to maintain your health at home.

  4. You Deserve a Healing Space

Pelvic Roots Therapy was created by a pelvic floor physical therapist specifically for pelvic therapy. Our treatment sessions are in a calm, private environment with trauma-informed therapists. You will not be in a loud shared gym space with a bunch of strangers like it some outpatient therapy clinics. We understand the intimate nature of pelvic floor therapy at times and make it a priority that our clients feel safe during a treatment session. When your body feels safe, then the body can heal.

  5. Experience the Healing Power of Touch

Our therapists are trained in advanced manual therapy skills to help aide in muscle and fascial restrictions that may be influencing your pelvic floor symptoms. From Cupping therapy, fascial and visceral mobilization, soft tissue massage and Dry Needling. We understand the importance of laying hands on a client (with permission) to help release tension in the body and calm the nervous system to help your body feel safe.

  6. Movement Based Approach

At Pelvic Roots, we understand the intricate relationship of how the brain and body respond to movement. Our therapists practice an integrative movement approach to utilize your breath and body in order to find lasting symptom relief. We also are passionate about resistance training across the lifespan, especially for women, as research strongly supports the benefit on the body and pelvic health especially as you transition into menopause. Our therapists help take the intimidation out of lifting weights and give you the confidence in performing movements that are best for your body.

  7. More Than Just Kegels

Pelvic Floor Therapy is much more than “just kegels”. At Pelvic Roots you will find a holistic approach to pelvic floor dysfunction, low back and hip pain. Our therapists understand the importance of taking an “outside of the pelvis” approach to eliminating pelvic floor dysfunction as no one part of the body functions in isolation. Through hands on manual techniques, movement principles and using a variety of other treatment techniques you will see optimal results that kegels alone won’t give you.

  8. Facility Designed for All Walks of Life

From private treatment rooms, to a fully equipped rehabilitation room and a quiet, upstairs movement room all filled with natural lighting. Whether your goals are to return to CrossFit after childbirth, lift your grandchildren without urinary leakage, or simply walk without hip or low back pain; our facility is equipped to help you return to the activities you love symptom free.
